Manuel Otero was born Manuel Otero Aparicio on June 25, 1942 in Madrid, Madrid, Spain. He was a pop singer beginning in the 1960s. He married actress singer María José Cantudo in 1973 and they had a son, actor Manuel Otero Cantado, the couple divorced shortly after Manuel's birth in 1978. Otero moved to South America and lived in Sao Paolo, Brazil. Manuel died from liver cancer on June 1, 2011
