ourning in the world of Romagna culture. Aurelio Angelucci, a well-known face of Forlì dialect theatre, passed away in the night between Sunday and Monday. The funeral has been set for Thursday morning at 9 a.m. in St. Blaise's Church. Born in Forlì in 1934, he obtained a master's degree at the age of 19. He then carried out his military service as a second lieutenant, and then was promoted to the rank of lieutenant of complement For five years he was an elementary school teacher in Forlì; He then worked as a clerk at the Italian Post Office for 40 years, until he became a manager. "Passionate about entertainment, since 1968 he has directed the dialect company "Cinecircolo del Gallo" which he founded in which he acted for about 55 years, during which he staged over 25 Romagna comedies for a total of about 2500 evenings", recalls Gabriele Zelli.
"He participated as a contestant in 13 national television broadcasts," Zelli recalls. In Romagna with the character of 'Tugnaz', he conducted some television programs. In 2012 he was appointed honorary president of the Italian Federation of Amateur Theatre. He has participated as an actor in 22 films, two with Alberto Sordi and two with Pupi Avati. "I have always known Aurelio Angelucci, Tugnaz - begins the president of the City Council, Alessandra Ascari Raccagni -. Even if he was a teacher for a short time and a long time ago, for us boys of that time he has always remained the "Master". In this, recognizing the figure of the trainer, of the one who approaches the arts, the theater. With the Cinecircolo del Gallo he had created an aggregating reality, a cultural bulwark for the preservation of the Romagna dialect. My heartfelt condolences to the family."
"I remember with affection - says Alessandro Rondoni - my dear friend Aurelio Angelucci, the popular "Tugnaz", who made us love Romagna, its dialect and its traditions. He collaborated with me at Il Momento with his column "Amarcord". There were many moments lived with him at San Luigi and Santa Rita, with the theatrical performances of the Cinecircolo del Gallo, and at Rondo Point with the sfoglina Maria, where he also performed dressed as Santa Claus. He recounted his participation in films and television quizzes, his friendships with actors, directors and cycling champions including Baldini, Pambianco and Adorni. And he remembered his origins at the San Luigi oratory, the meetings with Don Pippo and Don Ricci. Aurelio was a good person, full of talent and humanity."
"We remember him with great affection for his generous, communicative character, always ready to offer the best of himself," comments Carlo Caselli, provincial president of Confedilizia. He honored us with his unforgettable testimony during a "Amarcord e nostar dialet" salon on May 10, 2018, when his strength was already declining, but, although suffering, he did not want to miss it and even lately he was proud to have honored and cheered us. May Paradise welcome you, Aurelio, great Romagnolo."
